If you want to use the drive on your Xbox One, connect it to a Windows PC and format it to NTFS. That will wipe it clean, so copy any data you want to keep off there first. Then you can use it on the Xbox One, but it'll likely cause compatibility issues with your Mac. For an external storage drive to save games and apps from Xbox One, it must meet the following requirements: It uses a USB 3.0 connection. If you’re using a USB hub, the hub must also be USB 3.0 or later. It has 256 GB or larger storage capacity. It has a partition. Typically, drives come wit a preformatted partition.
There's a piece of software you can get called HFSExplorer, it's free and available through cnet and straight from the developer It reads the mac drive and you can extract the files a little bit like with packer files. You'll need java for it to work and you can't write to the mac drive through the software but it's handy if all you need is to copy the files over to your windows system. Has a summery on it and lists two others you can choose from. Paragon’s HFS+ for Windows and Mediafour’s MacDrive, both enable the windows system to read the mac drive as a recognizable drive with read/write functions available.
Hey guys, so I just ordered a computer from ibuypower.com, and I didn't get an OS since I already have a Windows 7 home premium disc. For a pre formatted hard drive, do I just put the disc in and it will begin installing? XxjackassxX If an operating system is installed already onto this preformatted hard drive then you just need to go into you computers bios (normally by pressing the delete key shortly after turning the system on), and then finding the boot sequence of the computer. Then simply make sure the disc drive is top of the boot sequence, pop your disc in then restart the system.

It should then say something along the lines of 'press any key to boot from disc', then press a key and it should go into windows installation, where you can just overwrite the current operating system. If the hard drive is formatted but does not have an operating system, then you can simply skip the changing boot sequence step, and start your computer with the windows disc already in. Hope this helps.
